7 Steps to Get Soft Spring Lips After Winter
Make a small sugar/honey or lemon juice/sugar scrub of your choice. Use a toothbrush to apply it to your lips. Rub the mixture in circular motion across your lips until all the dead skin is gone revealing softer sweeter lips.
Keep a moisturizer handy at all times. Having a moisturizer provides quick and lasting refreshment for your lips. We are on our way to spring and moisture is best.
Coconut oil, Vaseline, and olive oil all work as natural moisturizers if perchance you left yours lying around somewhere.
3. Don’t lick your lips.
This is a must! Licking your lips may seemingly cause relief but in the long run creates more damage. Your saliva carries digestive enzymes that break down your lip’s skin barrier. We don’t want that!
4. Be extra careful with washing your face.
Whether it’s to remove makeup before bed, or simply cleanse our skin in the morning. We all wash our faces. If your facial cleanser contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide be sure to coat your lips with a Vaseline or lip balm to protect them from drying out afterwards. It’s just that easy!
5. Drink Water.
Drinking water is the easiest way to achieve a beautiful body inside out. Drinking up to eight glasses of water a day will ensure beautiful and healthy lips.
6. Watch what you eat.
You are what you eat! Fast foods and spicy food wreak havoc on your lips. Be careful to have a steady diet of fruits and vegetables for a glowing complexion and healthy lips.
7. Layer Up.
If you plan to wear a lipstick. First coat your lips in a balm. Long lasting lipstick can dry out the lips. It’s always best to take extra precautions. Better safe than sorry my beauties.
